How to Write a PhD Research Proposal #10 - Reviewing Progress!
…how to write about consciousness while unconscious due to lack of sleep!
A late post today, as my sleep schedule is off…. rest is good to reset the brain and recharge energy!
i am not even going to look at the class schedule for when assignments are due. i am just going to rest today.
however, to keep the consistency going with writing daily, I will review some of the next steps I need to take when starting revisions.
Next Steps:
I already know I have to expand my literature review — hence many new articles and peer-reviewed papers were gathered to include into this section.
I need to do more research on Methods: Measurements and Intruments. Here are two scales I learned about
SCAM: self context-aware model: employs a two-dimensional emotion coordinate system for anchoring and re-labeling distinct emotions. (Lin, Zihan & Cruz, Francisco & Sandoval, Eduardo, 2023)
TIAS: Trust in Automation Scale: designed to measure levels of trust that ultimately demonstrates the safe and effective use of AI and other automated systems(McGrath, et. al., 2025)
Updating the hypothesis to be a little bit more specific and succint
Update the hypothetical experiment
Create a hypothetical group of participants to take part in the experiment / answering the research question
Create a hypothetical set of results based on use of the testing instruments listed above
Compare and Contrast with similarly ran experiments per Lit Review
Update the Abstract, write a separate Introduction
Update the Reference list.
Whoo… ok… well. it's a lot to do!
This is why staying organized helps us stay focused on what needs to get done; also helps with prioritizing which task to do first!
Gonna sleep on this, refresh my brain for the next day! 😴
